Job Summary:
RRCC seeks applicants who understand and have first-hand experience working with diverse populations, which may include but are not limited to, historically marginalized populations such as people of color, LGBTQ+ community members, veterans, first generation graduates, and people with disabilities. The Student Recreation Center at RRCC is seeking a Recreation Assistant to provide customer service, maintain quality facility cleanliness and organization, enforce policies, and provide a welcoming and engaging experience to all SRC patrons. This position reports to the Fitness & Operations Coordinator. The work schedule for this position is dependent on the student employee's class schedule. The Student Recreation Center is open Monday through Thursday 7 am- 7 pm, Friday 7 am
- 6 pm, and Saturday 10 am
- 2 pm.

Must be an RRCC student and have been granted a work-study award for the semester the student is seeking employment and maintain eligibility. Must be enrolled in at least half-time (6 credit hours) and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress for all credit hours.For student hourly employment:
Must be an RRCC student and enrolled in at least half-time (6 credit hours). Must be certified in Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED training (in-person training) or be willing to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire (SRC can provide) Physical & Cognitive Demands The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position. This position regularly moves, positions, and transports items weighing up to 45 lbs., and may require employees to stand for long periods. The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, coordinating, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills. Advertised Hourly Pay The hourly pay for this position is $19.37- $19.
