Job Description
This is a non-exempt, temporary, part-time position, limited to 1300 hours annually, under supervision of the Recreation Supervisor and/or Coordinator. Sports Leaders are responsible for all participants in a program area and the implementation of all activities at the site assigned to include, but not limited to enforcing rules, regulations, proper sports guideline, and leading sports staff while engaging and interacting with participants and public to create a fun structured environment. This job description is an overview and is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the functions and tasks required for the position Responsible for planning and implementation of weekly program of activities Direct supervision of all staff at site - includes daily guidance and evaluations. Appropriate management of all children/youth and adults Facilitation of activities for all groups Establish a positive rapport with all participants/parents in the program. Attend all staff meetings and training sessions, including any state-mandated courses. Responsible for effectively handling all emergency incidents that occur, using mature, sound judgment. Ensure adequate communication with staff/supervisor/parents and participants. Must turn in all forms in a timely manner as instructed.
