Role:
As a Recreation Aide, you will have the opportunity to plan, organize, and implement various recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being among our residents. You will work closely with the Recreation Therapy department to develop and implement individualized recreational plans that cater to the unique needs and interests of each resident.
Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and coordinating recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings Provide one-on-one and group activities to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and caregivers to understand their needs and preferences Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of recreational programs and services Maintain accurate records and reports of recreational activities and resident participation
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required 1 years of experience in healthcare or a related field Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift and transfer residents with mobility impairments (with assistance as needed)

Schedule:
5 days a week including every other weekend. Must be flexible for 9A-5P, 10A-6P, and 11A-7P to assist with evening programs.
