Position Title:
Student Support Services/Recreation Coordinator Hours:
8:00am -5:00pm - may vary based on planned events
Summary of Position Function:
Provides oversight for the Center's Recreation programs during the training day and any night events planned. Coordinates enrichment activities to support Academics/Career Technical Training assignments in supporting Trainees with supplies, directions, resources and tracking of assignments. Helps with center diversity events as well as Career Success Standards built into daily activities. Plans and schedules for program activities that enhance students' personal and professional growth and promote retention. Developing, planning and implementing diverse programs to include: arts and crafts, intramurals, cultural events and other recreational and enrichment programs. Oversees the Center's Enrichment Program regarding supporting assigned activities for assistance to the Academic/CTT areas. Establishes and maintains partnerships with outside organizations and provides outside speakers for program activities. Organizes and supervises on and off-center recreation activities for students. Provides and disseminates center-wide communication for all planned program activities. Communicates regularly with Student Government officers to keep them abreast of center events and activities. Keeps a log of all planned and executed events, including all details, evaluation, metrics and feedback. Guides students to make informed lifestyle choices concerning fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Prepares schedules and calendars for all recreation activities. Coordinates student field trips. Maintains recreation space, equipment, and materials to Center standards. Orders and maintains recreational equipment, supplies and materials. Organize transportation of students to and from center-sponsored events. Tracks and records attendance for events planned. Recognizes and reinforces students' positive behavior. 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday 40
