The Opportunity We are currently seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant What You Will Do Assist residents with morning care and basic ADLs to prepare them for therapy Safely transfer and transport residents to and from therapy sessions Set up therapy equipment and prepare treatment areas Support therapists during sessions with positioning, balance assistance and safety monitoring Complete restorative nursing programs (ROM, strengthening, ambulation, ADL maintenance) Document participation and report any changes in resident condition Clean and sanitize equipment and maintain an organized therapy area Participate in engaging activities including live entertainment, off-site daytrips that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for residents. Follow individualized activity plans that cater to the unique needs of residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Collaborate with staff to ensure activities align with residents' preferences and abilities. Facilitate recreational therapy sessions aimed at enhancing residents' quality of life. Maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes related to activities.
