Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Activities Coordinator at Riverwoods Plantation Community Association in Estero, FL. The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, activities, and programs designed to engage and enrich the lives of community residents. The role includes collaborating with residents, managing budgets, coordinating volunteers, and continuously improving offerings to foster a vibrant, benevolent community environment. Job Responsibilities Plan and execute monthly activities, classes, trips, and special events Engage residents and encourage participation through clear communication Coordinate logistics with staff, vendors, and volunteers Manage activity budgets, attendance records, and event materials Ensure safety, accessibility, and compliance with association rules Attend and participate in Committee Meetings Attend all performances to ensure the setup and closing of performers goes smoothly. Qualifications Strong Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, staff, and volunteers. Experience in Training and mentoring volunteers or staff to assist in activities and events. Proven ability in Fundraising and organizing community-oriented initiatives to support events and activities. Organizational and time-management skills to plan and oversee multiple events and programs efficiently. High energy, creativity, and a passion for delivering engaging community service Strong communication and organizational skills, an able to speak before large goups Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends Experience in a similar role or community-based setting, and a background in hospitality, social work, or event planning is preferred. Preferred Experience in a 55+ community, HOA/condo environment. Familiarity with Florida Statute 718 and community-association operations. CPR/First Aid certification
