$17.50 - $19.00 per hour Bring Joy and Meaning to Every Resident's Day Ambassador Healthcare at College Park is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activity Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with the Activities Director to plan and lead engaging programs that enhance residents' physical, emotional, social, and mental well-being. If you enjoy building relationships, creating positive experiences, and making a difference in the lives of others, we'd love to meet you. Key Responsibilities Assist the Activities Director with planning, organizing, and implementing daily and monthly recreational programs Create and post monthly activity calendars in large print for residents and visitors Ensure each resident receives a copy of the activity calendar in their room Interview residents and family members to identify interests, hobbies, and activity preferences Escort and assist residents to and from activities safely and comfortably Lead and participate in group and individual activities that encourage wellness, engagement, and enjoyment Document attendance, participation, resident responses, and progress notes accurately Observe and report changes in residents' mood, behavior, or participation to appropriate staff Encourage resident and family involvement in activity planning and special events Help create a warm, positive, and inclusive environment for all residents Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required CNA certification/license preferred Previous experience in a nursing home, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Ability to work effectively with elderly residents and interdisciplinary staff Benefits Comprehensive Medical and Dental Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Recognition Programs Supportive and collaborative team environment Employee discounts and company perks Why Join Ambassador Healthcare at College Park?
