Join us at Forest Park, a welcoming drop-in center that offers community, canteen, and recreation to adults living with behavioral health challenges. We are looking for someone who can consistently work the 3-6 PM shift , is open to weekend and holiday shifts , and brings empathy, energy, and reliability to their work.

What You'll Be Doing:

Engage in fun and meaningful recreational activities with program members. Offer peer support and encouragement to adults in recovery. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stigma-free environment. Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time. Be part of a mission-driven team committed to recovery and empowerment.

Requirements:

Available to work 3-6 PM reliably, five days a week. Must be available to work weekends and most holidays (time-and-a-half holiday pay provided). Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and receive annual flu shots—no exceptions. Must be able to pass a Level 2 background screening (required when working with vulnerable populations). High school diploma or GED. Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Outlook, etc.). Reliable transportation. Strong communication skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Willingness to engage with individuals in all stages of recovery. Hiring Process:

This is a paid position and includes a mandatory hospital-led New Hire Orientation which must be completed in person, Monday-Friday and the following Monday (8 AM - 4 PM). The hospital typically offers this training once per month. There are no alternative training options. Before attending orientation, candidates must complete the hospital's onboarding process, which includes: Background check Drug screening Health department clearance We also have an onboarding process to introduce you to our organization, complete internal paperwork, assign email, explain our policies, and go over our mission. We understand that this may seem like a lot—but once you're through, the job itself is rewarding and manageable. The typical shift involves an hour of setup, an hour of group engagement, and an hour of cleanup.
