Recreation/Activities Coordinator Waters Edge Assisted Living Facility of Lake Wales is seeking a passionate and dynamic Recreation/Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and implement a diverse range of recreational and social activities tailored to the interests and abilities of senior residents Motivate and encourage residents to participate actively in programs to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional well-being Manage the activities department, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating staff and volunteers Assess residents' needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes socialization and community engagement Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to maximize participation and satisfaction Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and resident feedback
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in activities coordination, preferably within senior living or healthcare settings Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and connect with seniors Creativity and enthusiasm in designing engaging activities Knowledge of aging-related needs and safety considerations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to enhancing residents' quality of life High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreational therapy or related fields are a plus At Waters Edge Assisted Living, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
