WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will help bring our activity calendar to life while getting to know the people behind the residents.

You will:

Create and facilitate engaging, creative, and meaningful activities for our senior residents. Encourage participation while recognizing that not everyone finds joy in the same things. Build genuine relationships with residents and learn their interests, histories, talents, personalities, and passions. Bring enthusiasm and positive energy into the community every day. Help create memorable celebrations, themed events, outings, games, entertainment, educational programs, and social gatherings. Think beyond the calendar and recognize opportunities for spontaneous moments of joy. Encourage residents to remain socially connected, mentally stimulated, physically engaged, and emotionally fulfilled. Work collaboratively with our team to create experiences that support each resident's individual abilities and interests. Help welcome new residents and families into our community and make them feel that they belong. Capture and celebrate the everyday moments that make senior living special.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and assist in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating a positive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement activities to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents
• Assist in organizing events, outings, and programs tailored to residents' interests
• Provide support in memory care activities and recreational therapy sessions
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities meet the individual needs of residents
• Help residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed
• Manage schedules and maintain accurate records of resident participation

Skills:

• Experience in memory care, senior care, or nursing home settings
• Knowledge of dementia care and aging issues counseling
• Ability to plan and execute engaging events and activities
• Familiarity with ADLs and schedule management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
