Luxury Senior Living Communities In Kendall Is looking for Assistant to the Director of Activities & Entertainment for its Palace Suites Independent Living Community 11377 SW 84th Street Miami, FL 33173 The #1 Priority of this position is… To assist the Activities & Entertainment Director in executing the residents' activity program, lead group activities and visit residents to complete their Activity Profile. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the Director in decorating the building for all parties, holidays and special events. Follow the daily activities schedule and carry-out the assigned planned activities and events. Maintain an ongoing inventory of departmental supplies and equipment. General housekeeping duties in activity areas and supply closets. Be aware of conditions that may interfere with the safety and well-being of residents while in activities. Assist the Director by interviewing residents based on their activities profile and input the information into the CRM. Qualifications Experience in recreation setting preferred. Experience in party planning and carrying out social and recreational programs. Must be creative and have appropriate input in creating new activities for the program. Performance experience is preferred, such as singing or dancing. Must have a high school degree or equivalent. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred. Must have basic knowledge of a variety of activities and exhibit the ability to give instructions to others. The Ideal Candidate Responsible, always on time, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented. Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations. Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member. Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people. Must be comfortable with working with older individuals and be able to motivate them in participating in the programs.
