We're looking for an energetic, compassionate, and creative Activity Assistant who loves engaging with older adults and making a difference every single day. > Position Overview The Activity Assistant supports the Activity Director in planning, organizing, and leading activities that promote physical, social, cognitive, and emotional well-being for residents. This role is perfect for someone upbeat, organized, and passionate about enriching the lives of seniors. - Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly activities, events, and outings Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement when needed Help prepare materials, supplies, and setup/cleanup for programs and celebrations Accompany residents on community outings, appointments, or scenic drives (if applicable) Document attendance and assist with required compliance paperwork Create a warm, positive, and inclusive environment for all residents Support special events, holiday programs, family nights, and themed activities Collaborate with other departments (Culinary, Wellness, Housekeeping) to ensure seamless resident experiences Assist with transporting residents safely using wheelchairs, walkers, etc. Promote joy, dignity, engagement, and meaningful moments throughout the day > Qualifications Prior experience in activities, recreation, childcare, hospitality, customer service, or senior care preferred but not required Genuine passion for working with seniors Ability to lead small and large group activities Creative, energetic, and comfortable being hands-on Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to bend, lift, stand, and assist residents safely Must pass Level II Background Screening (per state regulations) Valid driver's license (if assisting with outings) > What We Offer Supportive, family-like work environment Opportunities for growth and training Meaningful daily impact—your work directly improves residents' quality of life Competitive pay (based on experience) Employee appreciation events Flexible scheduling options > Join Our Team!
