OPS Athletic & Recreation Assistant Florida State University - 4.3 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Temporary $15 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Employee relationship building Full Job Description Department Facilities Services Responsibilities Weed eating of athletic fields and turf, edging, mowing, run string lines or stencils, and other related duties within the scope of work as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred and previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, turf management, athletic field maintenance, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of basic turf and grounds maintenance practices and the ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment is required. Must be able to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively, and maintain positive working relationships with university personnel, coaches, student-athletes, vendors, and the public is required. Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as necessary to support athletic events and field maintenance operations. Valid driver's license.
