Duties Plan, organize, and execute a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and themed events Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to incorporate therapeutic activities that support residents' physical and cognitive health Assist with the development of individualized activity plans that meet residents' needs related to dementia, memory care, or disabilities Coordinate resident events and outings to foster community engagement and enhance quality of life Build strong rapport with residents through meaningful interaction, active listening, and personalized attention Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed to ensure comfort and participation Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation in activities and report any changes or concerns to the care team Skills Proven experience in event planning within assisted living or long-term care settings Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, geriatrics, and memory care best practices Strong communication skills for effective resident engagement and team collaboration Ability to develop innovative programs that promote socialization and mental stimulation for seniors Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in a senior living environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office for record keeping and scheduling management Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple resident programs simultaneously Compassionate caregiving approach with a focus on resident rapport building and aging issues counseling Leadership qualities to coordinate team efforts in delivering engaging activities that meet diverse resident needs Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm transforms everyday moments into joyful experiences.
