A Recreation or Activities Worker leads tours and vacation trips in outdoor or wilderness areas. Leads hiking, rafting, canoeing, climbing or diving activities for a group. Provides specialized knowledge about the history, terrain, ecology or wildlife for the tour. Manages transportation, equipment and provisions and assists with cooking.

Conducts initial assessments and schedule reassessment of all participants.
Trains staff on new recreational therapy activities and programs.
Plans and offers varied monthly programs and uses group and individual-oriented interventions to maximize participants' cognitive and functional abilities.
Offers therapeutic activities daily for participants with special needs.
Documents participant involvement in activities and revises care plans as needed.
Actively participates in team discussions offering feedback, ideas, and suggestions daily and in staff meetings.
Serves as a resource to staff and coordinate volunteer activities at the center.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
