Activities Assistant Parkside of Gainesville 2435 Limestone Parkway NE, Gainesville, GA 30501 From $20 an hour - Part-time From $20 an hour - Part-time Parkside of Gainesville Assisted living is looking for a dynamic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team in creating engaging, meaningful experiences for residents in our senior living community.
Schedule:
Every OR Every other Saturday and Sunday Part-time Weekly pay In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities designed to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help foster a vibrant community environment where residents feel valued, supported, and inspired to live their best lives every day.
Responsibilities:
Assist the activities director in developing and implementing diverse activity programs tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific activities Coordinate special events, outings, and recreational therapies that enhance residents' quality of life and social engagement Assist residents with daily activities (Activities of Daily Living - ADLs) such as mobility, dressing, and personal care as needed during activities Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans and health considerations Document attendance, participation, activity feedback, and progress
Requirements:
Must have at least 2 years proven experience in activities, recreational therapy, or senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members Ability to lead small group activities and encourage resident engagement Compassionate attitude with a passion for enhancing the lives of our residents through creative programming Join us in making a positive difference every day!
