This energetic position offers the opportunity to foster a lively, supportive environment by planning and coordinating diverse recreational programs tailored to seniors' interests and needs. Duties Assist in developing and implementing a variety of recreational activities and programs designed for residents with diverse needs, including memory care and dementia support Coordinate resident events, outings, and social gatherings to promote engagement and community involvement Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interaction, encouraging participation and fostering a welcoming atmosphere Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, grooming, and medication reminders as needed Manage schedules for activities and ensure timely setup, execution, and cleanup of events Collaborate with team members to assess resident interests and adapt programs accordingly Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation, feedback, and activity outcomes to inform program development Communicate effectively with residents' families and care teams to ensure activities align with individual care plans and preferences Qualifications Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes Strong background working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring memory care or dementia support Knowledge of long-term care practices, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, and aging issues counseling Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and team members Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and scheduling purposes Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs tailored to seniors' interests and abilities Experience coordinating resident events or recreational activities in senior living facilities or community settings Join us in making a positive impact every day!
