Summary As an Activity Assistant at Sunny View Care Center, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and meaningful interactions. Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents. Engage residents in various activities that promote social interaction and physical well-being. Manage schedules for activities, ensuring all residents have opportunities to participate. Collaborate with staff to assess residents' interests and needs for tailored programming. Support residents with mobility or other needs during activities to ensure their safety and enjoyment. Document participation and feedback from residents to improve future activities. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a positive environment. Contribute to a caring atmosphere by building relationships with residents and understanding their preferences. Qualifications Experience in long-term care or assisted living environments is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and staff. Background in social work or caregiving is beneficial but not required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Compassionate attitude towards working with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds. Experience in event planning or recreational programming is a plus.
