Graduate Assistant - Sports Information

Grand View University Athletic Communications Department is accepting applications for a Sports Information Graduate Assistant position (tuition waiver + stipend) starting Fall 2026 semester.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but are not limited to, assisting the Athletic Communications staff in all aspects of sports information and media relations for Grand View University's athletic programs. Duties include maintaining athletic websites and statistics, producing game notes and publications, managing social media content, writing press releases and feature stories, coordinating live stats and streaming operations, assisting with photography and graphic design projects, and supporting game day operations for home athletic events. Additional responsibilities may include media relations, historical/statistical record keeping, and assisting with special events and championship hosting opportunities. Candidates will receive valuable hands-on experience in all facets of collegiate athletic communications and sports information within a highly successful NAIA athletic department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Communications, Sports Management, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational ability, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), PrestoSports, SIDEARM Sports, social media platforms, photography, video editing, and live streaming software is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, a strong work ethic, flexibility with evening/weekend hours, and a desire to pursue a career in athletic communications or collegiate athletics administration.
