Day Habilitation Assistant Pay:
12.50-15/hr
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Day Habilitation Assistant to join our team at the Life Skills Training Center. The ideal candidate will work closely with adults with intellectual disabilities, supporting them in achieving their daily goals while fostering independence, social interaction, and personal growth. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 3:00PM, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed to cover for other staff.
Key Responsibilities:
    Goal Documentation:
    Accurately document clients' progress toward daily goals, ensuring all records are maintained according to program guidelines.
      Activity Implementation:
      Plan, supervise, and encourage client participation in a variety of social, leisure, and recreational activities designed to enhance their quality of life and skill development.
        Supportive Environment:
        Provide direct assistance, guidance, and supervision to clients while promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere.
          Transportation Assistance:
          Transport clients to and from activities and community outings as needed.
            Mission-Driven Care:
            Uphold the organization's mission to provide person-centered support, care, and opportunities for growth.
            Qualifications:
            • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in a related field is a plus.
            • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
            • Ability to work effectively with adults with intellectual disabilities in a respectful and empathetic manner.
            • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
            • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
