General Responsibilities Under the director of the Site Coordinator, the Anti-Violence Activity Leader will be responsible for providing Academic Assistance, Sports and Recreation, Life Skills, and Mentoring Services to all Anti-Violence Participants. Specific Job Responsibilities The Activity Leader will be responsible for developing an on-going positive relationship with all Anti-Violence participants and their parents. The Anti-Violence Activity Leader will be responsible for assisting the Site Coordinator in the scheduling and provision of all Anti-Violence Core Services. The Activity Leader will be responsible for assisting in the recruiting and enrollment of all Anti-Violence Participants and in the completing of all files for each participant The Activity Leader will be responsible for assuring that all Daily Enrollment Logs are signed and maintained. The Activity Leader will be responsible for assigning each of the participants to different classes and activities as deemed appropriate according to the initial participant survey_ The Activity Leader will be responsible for conducting individual and group activities including homework assistance and tutoring, sports and recreational activities, life skills activities and classes, and mentoring. The Activity Leader will be responsible for the on-going, daily supervision of the participants involved in their specific classes or group activities. The Activity Leader will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing creative opportunities for Parental Involvement in all aspects of the Anti-Violence Program The Activity Leader will be responsible for collecting and copying report cards and in assisting in the completion of all monthly and quarterly reports. The Activity Leader will be responsible for completing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Coordinator. The applicant for this position must undergo a criminal background check conducted at minimum by the Local Police Department. An Illinois State Police criminal background check or a
DCFS CANTS
can be used in lieu of the local police department's background check.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.54 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
