The Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center of St. Clair County is located in East St. Louis, IL. The Center has been in operation since 1957 serving the needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Our mission is to provide quality individualized essential services for people in need of emotional, rehabilitative and social support. We strive to be the top-ranking Community Behavioral Health Center within its size, population and category in the State of Illinois.

Description :

This is an opportunity for a bachelor's-degreed social worker or counselor to assist people who are challenged by mental illness and/or substance use disorder within a community of great need.

Key Duties :

Develop relationships with clients and become familiar with their needs Know the treatment plan for each client; monitor and assist clients in following the treatment plan Follow up with clients to ensure they are attending their mental health counseling, addictions counseling, psychiatric and other appointments Help clients to apply for Medicaid and other benefits to which they may be entitled Assist clients with applying for Medicaid and other benefits Assist clients with managing their household budgets and connecting them to representative payee services Assist clients with transportation as needed Assess and provide referrals to appropriate resources Follow up on referrals made by clinicians Document services provided within the system of electronic health records on same day service is provided to include information needed for medical billing Reports to :

Department Manager Required :

Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or closely related field Good oral and written communication skills General knowledge of computer documentation Valid driver's license

Schedule :

11pm-7am

• must be able to work some weekend hours

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$20.00 per hour
