Full Job Description Activity Assistant Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Evercare of Granite City in Granite City, IL. As an Activity Assistant, you will contribute to the overall well-being and engagement of our residents by planning and implementing a variety of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities. Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate activities, such as arts and crafts, games, outings, and social events, in collaboration with the Activities Coordinator and other team members Facilitate activities to promote resident engagement, cognitive stimulation, and socialization Assists with the planning and implementation of special events, such as birthday parties and holiday celebrations Participates in staff meetings and contributes to the development of activity programs and services Builds and maintains strong relationships with residents, families, and staff members Maintains accurate records of activities and resident participation Collaborates with other departments, such as therapy and wellness, to provide a holistic approach to care

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (such as gerontology, recreation therapy, or social work) an asset Work a revolving schedule a few days during the week and at least one weekend day as needed. Part time hours. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to off-site activities
