ACTIVITY AIDE - FULL TIME OAK PARK OASIS
12pm-8pm, rotating weekendsJob Summary:
Assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet the needs of the residents and to take charge of areas of activities as assigned by the Activity Director.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in direction the activities planned in accordance with established procedures. Assists the Activity Director as required. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility. Collects, assembles, and completes all paperwork as needed. Follows up with established activities for those residents who are unable to leave their rooms. (Bedside activities). Assists new admissions in the process of orientation as necessary. Maintains all Resident Bulletin boards with updated information. Posts daily menu on all floors as required by regulation Attends and participates in in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs as scheduled. Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor immediately. Reports equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible Ensures supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.Education/Experience:
Must possess as a minimum, high school education. Possess creative ability either in group activities or in crafts. Experience working with the elderly. Sensitivity to cultural diversity.Benefits:
