Job Description

Duties:
Under the general supervision of the General Manager - Proctor & Logan Recreation Centers, the Van Driver Activity Leader Proctor will be responsible for: Transport youth program participants to activities and special events from neighborhood schools to the Proctor Center after-school program and on field trips. Supervise activities. Ensure proper use of supplies and equipment during activities. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing. All other duties assigned.
Essential Functions:
The work requires some physical exertion in handling supplies and materials relevant to programming. Prolonged standing, bending and stooping. Ability to understand and complete paperwork and record keeping in order to complete duties. Ability to operate computer, copy machine, scanner, etc. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Education :
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience :
Youth experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years old to drive the van.
Knowledge and Ability :
Ability to learn and implement group management skills and activities for a diverse population. Ability to physically participate with children. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, to follow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal and external customers.
