Overview We are seeking a Part-Time Outfitter to join our team and deliver exceptional customer service while assisting with merchandising, sales, and product demonstrations. This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about outdoor activities to contribute to a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to help customers find the right equipment for their adventures. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance in selecting outdoor gear and apparel Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of merchandise Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties Promote upselling opportunities to enhance customer experience and store sales performance Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves and monitoring stock levels Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, including phone etiquette Experience Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or outdoor retail environment Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in team settings Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers in multiple languages (bilingual skills are advantageous) Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, and retail math for accurate transactions Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and retail math calculations This position offers an exciting chance to be part of a passionate team dedicated to outdoor adventures.
