Full-Time | Day Shift | Rotating Weekends (Every Other Weekend) & Holiday Coverage Position Overview Oak Village is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to support the emotional, social, and recreational well-being of our residents. This role plays an important part in enhancing quality of life through structured programming, social interaction, and meaningful engagement within our skilled nursing community. Key Responsibilities Facilitate recreational, social, creative, and relaxation activities under the direction of the Activities Director Assist residents with supportive daily tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, and voter registration Prepare, organize, and distribute activity materials, including crafts and supplies, while supervising participation Escort residents safely to and from activities and appointments Operate facility transportation equipment, including van electric lifts, and ensure residents are safely secured during transport Maintain accurate documentation of resident attendance and participation Support additional facility functions including mail delivery, newsletter preparation, fundraising activities, and facility announcements Encourage resident participation to promote emotional well-being, socialization, and quality of life Assist with decorating and preparing for facility events, celebrations, and special programs Communicate resident concerns or changes to the appropriate department staff
Qualifications Required:
Valid driver's license Clean driving record Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred:
