In this vital role, you will design and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, fostering social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help create a vibrant community atmosphere where residents feel valued, connected, and empowered to live their best lives every day. Candidates must be comfortable working with the elderly population and in our memory care center. In addition, candidates must be available to work select evenings and weekends. Duties Plan, organize, and lead diverse recreational activities that promote socialization, cognitive engagement, and physical activity for residents with varying needs. Assist with the development of activity schedules that align with residents' preferences, abilities, and interests. Provide compassionate support to residents during activities, ensuring safety and encouraging participation. Collaborate with nursing staff and care teams to incorporate therapeutic activities such as pet therapy, musica therapy or crafts tailored to individual needs. Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activity feedback, and progress notes to inform care planning. Foster an inclusive environment by working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory care needs. Communicate effectively with team members and other staff to promote a holistic approach to resident well-being. Qualifications Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and senior care best practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with older adults and individuals with disabilities. Demonstrated schedule management skills to coordinate multiple activities effectively.
