Activities Assistant Location:
Mulvane, KS, 67110
Hours:
08:00am - 04:30pm with alternating Saturdays required
Job Summary Role:
Support the Activity Director in creating a vibrant, home-like environment.
Goal:
Enhance residents' quality of life through meaningful daily engagement.
Setting:
Long-term care nursing homes or assisted living communities.
Key Responsibilities Program Execution:
Lead group and individual activities such as crafts, games, music, and exercise.
Resident Engagement:
Visit residents' rooms to invite them and assist them to and from events.
Event Setup:
Prepare, arrange, and clean up event spaces and materials.
Documentation:
Track daily attendance and note resident participation or behavior changes.
Community Outings:
Assist with transport and supervision during off-site trips.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
Prior senior care or event planning experience is preferred.
Certifications:
CNA and valid driver's license required.
Soft Skills:
High empathy, patience, positive energy, and strong communication skills.
