ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization and carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned. Consistently models and demonstrates excellence in customer service, with a constant focus on person-centered care/services delivery. Ensures adherence to the mission and philosophy of the organization and the policies and procedures of the Baptist Life Communities. Carries out activities with all of the residents in the building and unit assigned. Maintains the bulletin boards in a neat, attractive manner to attract the residents to the activities posted. Maintains seasonal/holiday decorations, enhancing the atmosphere in the corridors, day/dining rooms and public areas. Maintains attendance records on activities. Assists with ongoing person-centered evaluations to meet the needs of each individual resident at the level they need. Completes documentation on assigned residents in a timely, complete and orderly manner, including but not limited to the documentation as well as the individualized plans of care designed to meet each resident's needs. Assists with recruiting, training and recognizing of volunteers. Assists with atmosphere enhancement such as gardening, dining room ambience, corridor music or other activities that may be conducted in the corridor areas of the center. Assists with the monthly calendar and newsletter. Leads one-on-one conversations and small and large group activities as appropriate to the resident level of cognition. Transports residents to and from activities. Attends relevant care plan conferences as assigned by the Activity Director. Drives facility vehicle as needed for activities away from the Baptist Village Care Center. Maintains 12 hours of continuing education on an annual basis as required for ongoing certification (if certified). Reports any allegation of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of resident property per facility policy.
