Charles Community Covington, KY Job Details Part-time From $14.50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Customer service Public speaking Working with seniors Full Job Description The Activities Assistant helps plan, organize, implement, and evaluate engaging programs and events that promote the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual well-being of residents in the Village and Lodge. This role supports a faith-based senior living community by creating meaningful experiences that enhance residents' quality of life while fostering a welcoming and compassionate environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and coordinating recreational and social activities for residents. Help organize themed parties, dinners, and holiday celebrations. Lead or assist with exercise groups, discussion groups, educational programs, and cultural events. Assist coordinate activities such as bingo, crafts, cooking classes, teas, birthday celebrations, and card parties. Foster resident participation and encourage social engagement. Support the organization's faith-based mission through compassionate and respectful interactions. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic personality. Experience working with older adults, senior living communities, healthcare, recreation, or customer service. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassion, patience, and empathy. Public speaking or group facilitation skills. Ability to lift, set up, and transport activity materials as needed. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults and has a passion for creating engaging experiences that enrich residents' daily lives. They are creative, organized, dependable, and comfortable leading small group activities. A positive attitude, flexibility, and commitment to serving others in a faith-based environment are essential. Schedule Monday, Wednesday or Friday
