Job Description

Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club is expecting a great 2021 season. Come join our team of talented team members for a summer of fun. One of the key positions we are looking for is: Activities Attendant - Seasonal through Mid-September Candidates for this position must be at least 17 years of age. This position assists with the overall direction, growth, and performance of children and family programming by providing safe, clean and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
Set-up and execution of a variety of different family and children's activities that occur on property including but not limited to Kickball, Whiffle Ball, Volleyball, Archery, and group events. Lead and monitor Edgeventure - Ocean Edge's children's program. Promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale. Ensure high quality of cleanliness and maintenance for all physical facilities and equipment. Ensure timely set-up of recreation events achieving resort standards. Develop, implement and monitor all recreation programs. Track attendance and evaluate all programs. Provide well-rounded, safe programs for guests and members. Be familiar with all hotel services/features, local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry. Resolve guest complaints assuring satisfactory resolution and appropriate corrective action steps. Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests. Observe and enforce all rules, regulations and procedures. Ensure polite enforcement of disciplinary policies. Must maintain high level of safety standards throughout all activities. Must understand minor emergency care management and response system and communicate all pertinent information to the parents of all attendees.
Key Skills:
Energetic and personable, our Activities Attendants have excellent customer service skills. This position requires that you are professional, attentive, and detail oriented - ensuring that our guests and members have a memorable experience. Be upbeat and friendly, have fun doing what you do; Minimum of three years' experience in children's recreation preferred. Must have experience in supervision of simultaneous events. Excellent verbal communication skills - English language. Ability to work well with the general public, especially children. Ability to work well under pressure. Must have basic knowledge of first-aid and minor emergency care; ability to communicate calmly and clearly any and all pertinent information to the parents of all attendees as needed. Required understanding and management of emergency response system.
