Maintenance Technician Brewster, MA Apply Latham Centers is seeking a reliable & hands-on Facilities Maintenance Specialist to help maintain our residential & educational campus in Brewster, Massachusetts. This position is responsible for ensuring our buildings, vehicles, & grounds remain safe, functional, & welcoming for the children, adults, & staff we serve. Position Overview Maintenance Tech performs a variety of maintenance, repair, & preventative upkeep tasks across campus. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, & the ability to work independently while collaborating with other departments as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance & repairs throughout residential, educational, & administrative buildings Troubleshoot & address issues involving plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, heating, & general building operations Complete preventative maintenance projects to ensure facilities remain in good working condition Assist with landscaping, snow removal, & overall grounds maintenance Conduct inspections & identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues Support the upkeep, servicing, & coordination of organization-owned vehicles Respond to maintenance requests in a timely & professional manner Maintain tools, equipment, & work areas in a safe & organized condition Work respectfully within environments that support individuals with special needs Participate in an on-call rotation or respond to urgent maintenance needs when required Perform additional duties related to facility operations as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, construction, or a related trade preferred Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, & general repair techniques Ability to safely operate maintenance tools & equipment Valid driver\'s license required Strong problem-solving & communication skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, & pull materials & equipment Ability to work indoors & outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, & st& for extended periods Benefits Up to 5 weeks of Paid Time Off Comprehensive health insurance options Extended sick leave benefits 403(b) retirement plan with employer match up to 5% Tuition reimbursement opportunities Childcare reimbursement program Potential housing opportunities based on availability At Latham Centers, every position contributes to our mission of supporting children & adults with complex special needs.
