Responsibilities Engage children and their families in a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures. Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by maintaining vigilant supervision and adhering to safety protocols. Manage group behavior through positive reinforcement, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, and transitions between activities. Support campers with special needs or behavioral challenges by applying inclusive teaching methods and childhood development principles. Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan and execute age-appropriate programming that promotes teamwork and personal growth. Provide basic first aid when necessary and communicate effectively with parents or guardians about camper progress or concerns. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of early childhood education, childhood development, and special education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to handle diverse behaviors with patience and professionalism. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and team members. Passion for working with children and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere through sports coaching, childcare, or theater activities. Ability to remain energetic, flexible, and proactive in a fast-paced outdoor setting. $2,600.00 - $3,200.00 per year
