Immediately Job Description The Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) serves over 7,500 students in kindergarten to grade 12. We operate eight elementary (K-8) schools and one high school in the Town of Brookline. PSB is seeking committed professionals to contribute to our mission to ensure that every student develops the skills and knowledge to pursue a productive and fulfilling life, to participate thoughtfully in a democracy, and succeed in a diverse and evolving global society.
REPORTS:
K-12 Coordinator of Wellness Education
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Intramural Coordinator will oversee all district programming for intramural sports at the K-8 schools. The coordinator will act as a liaison between building coordinators, the athletic department and buidling administrators.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and distribute schedules for all district intramural seasons Communicate and collaborate with PSB leaders regarding any district-wide programming and scheduling Work with all building coordinators to ensure safe and appropriate intramural sports programming at their schools Implement coach education and ensure they are prepared for their events Schedule buses and secure permits necessary for meets and competitions Update and distribute the rules for the different sports Schedule and track payments for all officials Manage awards and certificates as needed Assign building coordinators to assist in running district-wide competitions Collaborate with building coordinators to ensure equipment and facilities are ready for programming Support school building coordinators with problem-solving throughout the year Distribute and collect all forms related to registrations and eligibility Collaborate with Principals, Building Coordinators, and Coaches to implement effective programming and troubleshoot anything having to do with intramural sports. Create and contribute to all media releases, pictures and sharing of event results/media. Track concussion data to be reported at the end of the year. Support conflict resolution and work with building based staff regarding implementation of consequences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be current UNIT A member
Terms:
The Public Schools of Brookline is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their teaching or practice to the diversity and excellence of the PSB community. All candidates must receive A PSB suitability determination of any criminal history background, including fingerprinting and CORI. Current authorization to work in the United States. Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment. SY26/27 Stipend rate: TBD
