Job Description

Recreation Assistant Twin Oaks Rehab and Nursing, a renowned provider of high-quality healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recreation Assistant to join our team in Danvers, MA. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a fulfilling and engaging experience for our residents. Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and implement recreational activities, games, and events for residents, in accordance with their individual needs and preferences Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy team to develop and implement meaningful and engaging programs Assist residents with daily living activities, such as mealtime, grooming, and medication administration, as needed Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident participation and programming Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to plan and implement community outings and activities Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and social connection Participate in special events, such as holidays, birthdays, and celebrations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field an asset No minimum years of experience required; willingness to learn and grow with our team Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; physical stamina to participate in recreational activities Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable) Completion of Mandatory Background Check and
