Sarawood Assisted Living is a small, 28-resident assisted living community focused on creating a warm, personal, and engaging environment for our residents. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and personable Activities Assistant to plan and lead meaningful activities, events, and outings for our residents. Responsibilities Plan and lead group and individual activities Help develop and maintain the monthly activities calendar Organize games, crafts, music, celebrations, and special events Assist with resident outings and community activities Encourage resident participation and social interaction Get to know residents and develop activities around their interests Coordinate with staff, volunteers, entertainers, and community organizations Help prepare activity spaces and maintain supplies Qualifications Experience working with seniors, recreation, hospitality, education, or community programs preferred Friendly, patient, creative, and dependable Comfortable leading small groups and interacting one-on-one with residents Strong communication and organizational skills Able to work independently and as part of a small team Basic computer skills Valid driver's license preferred Schedule We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates. The schedule will depend on experience, availability, and the needs of our residents. Some weekend, evening, and holiday availability will be needed for activities and special events.
