As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and coordinating activities, social events, and group activities that stimulate and engage their cognitive levels.
Responsibilities:
Encourage and assist residents in functional, social, and recreational activities under the direction of the Activity Director Function as a team member and foster good interpersonal communication skills within and between departments Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents in your care Assist in planning and coordinating activities, social events, and group activities Engage residents in various cognitive activities, such as puzzles, games, and arts and crafts
Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent Long Term Care experience preferred CPR Certified Certified as an activity assistant preferred Ability to work a rotating schedule, including some holiday and weekend hours IND123
