Position Summary BGC Metro North is seeking a visionary, community-driven, and energetic Teen Club Coordinator to lead our Wakefield Clubhouse. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about youth development, program innovation, and community engagement. As the face of the Wakefield Clubhouse, the Club Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading a talented team of youth professionals, managing budgets, fostering community partnerships, and delivering dynamic, inclusive programming for youth ages 10-18. This role also plays a strategic role in supporting organization-wide initiatives including teen leadership, and enrichment programs. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable on the program floor, in staff meetings, and at community events. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Lead the Wakefield Clubhouse with a focus on program excellence, youth safety, and community relevance. Build and manage a strong team culture that prioritizes collaboration, accountability, and impact. Serve as a key liaison between Club staff, families, school partners, and the broader community. Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and welcoming at all times. Program Development & Supervision Oversee daily middle school and teen programming, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of members in grades 5-12. Coordinate and execute quarterly community events and family engagement activities in collaboration with specialists. Oversee Camp Wakefield during the summer, ensuring safe, fun, and educational experiences for youth ages 5- 10. Financial & Administrative Management Manage the Wakefield Club's operating budget, ensure financial accountability, and assist with development goals. Support fundraising, grant compliance, and program marketing in collaboration with the Development team. Maintain administrative systems to track member attendance, program performance, and facility use. Staff supervision & development: recruit, train, and manage Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders. Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to promote staff growth and program excellence. Staff time & attendance management: monitor and approve staff time cards and vacation requests. Ensure accurate and timely submission of attendance records in coordination with HR and payroll processes. Community & Partner Engagement Strengthen relationships with schools, municipalities, families, and local organizations. Represent Metro North at local events, coalitions, and partner meetings. Increase visibility of the Club and its impact through active outreach and public relations efforts. Required Qualifications HS diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, Recreation, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a youth-serving, nonprofit, or educational organization. Demonstrated success in program development, staff supervision, and budget management. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with diverse youth populations and a commitment to equity and inclusion. Proficiency with Google Suite and comfort with basic technology troubleshooting. Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends for events or peak program times. Preferred Qualifications Background in summer or school-year camp management. Understanding of facilities operations or community rental programs.

Organization-wide responsibilities:

Works within legal, regulatory, accreditation and ethical practice standards relevant to the position and as established by the Boys & Girls Club; follows safe practices required for the position; complies with appropriate BGC policies and procedures; fulfills any training required by BGC, as appropriate; brings potential matters of non-compliance to the attention of the supervisor or other appropriate BGC staff. Work Environment & Physical Demands The work environment varies between high-energy youth spaces and professional office settings. Must be able to lift and move items (up to 50 lbs), set up program equipment, and maintain active participation in programs. Frequent walking, standing, and interaction with children, families, and staff is expected. Noise levels range from moderate to loud depending on programming.
