Job Description

Oasis at Dodge Park and Dodge Park Rest Home, a Memory Care Facility for the elderly, are seeking a full-time experience Activities/Recreation Assistant to become part of our Life Engagement team. A minimum of 1 year in the healthcare setting is preferred. Will train the right candidate. Applicant must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 as a condition of employment or agree to take the most recent Covid booster!!! Will consider individuals with no experience as long as they possess the willingness to learn the active role. Must have the ability and flexibility to work flexible shifts and weekends (every other weekend). The position required to work every other weekend. The role of the Activities/Recreation Assistant is to provide group or one-on-one programs that enhance the lives of our residents under the supervision of the activity director. Assistant with ADL is part of the job duties as well. This position is a full time, 32/40 hours per week, including every other weekend. A caring and compassionate heart is required; experience working with the elderly and experience with dementia and Alzheimer's residents in any health care setting is a big plus.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with seniors or in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Compassionate and patient demeanor This position requires a caring individual who is passionate about providing support and enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
