Job Description
Marley Neck Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a part time Activities Assistant. The Activity Aide Assistant, assist in the planning , implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisor. AS an Activity Aide Assistant you will perform the following duties:
- Interview residents or family members to obtain recreation information.
- Participate in facility survey ( inspection) made by authorized government agencies, as necessary or as may be directed.
- Ensure that all charted recreation progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident's response to service.
- Assist in arrangement for transportation for field trips.
- Must be able to transport residents from floor unto the elevator.
- Involved the resident an family in planning recreation programs when possible.
- Coordinate activities with other departments, as necessary.
- Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games and activities for residents.
- Make routine visits to residents and perform assistance with craft, projects, etc.
Job Requirement:
- Must possess class C driver's License.
- Must be able to understand the English Language.
- Must have a least 1 year experience working in a Long Term Care Facility.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
