As an essential member of our dedicated staff, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and implementing activity programs that cater to the unique needs of our residents. Responsibilities:
Observe and record resident attendance, participation level, mood, behavior, and overall engagement during activities Note, report, and chart resident behavior and progress according to facility procedures Communicate with residents and family members to understand interests, preferences, and goals for activity planning Assist in planning and implementing daily activity programs under the direction of the Activity Director Coordinate activities with other departments as needed to ensure smooth scheduling and participation Encourage residents to join activities, games, crafts, and social events Build supportive relationships with residents to promote self-esteem, engagement, and well-being Prepare activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs Clean up and restore activity areas once programs are completed Move, arrange, and organize equipment and supplies to ensure areas are ready for use Assist with decorating and setting up materials for residents
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in activities preferred Ability to read and write Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to assist with helping residents back to their rooms Compassionate, patient, and able to create a positive environment for residents
Work Schedule:
