Job Description

Activities Director Bangor Holden KOA - Holden, Maine Position Summary The Activities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, promoting, and leading recreational activities and special events that create memorable experiences for campground guests of all ages. This role helps foster a fun, welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere while enhancing guest satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits. Key Responsibilities Plan and lead family-friendly programs including crafts, games, scavenger hunts, outdoor recreation, holiday celebrations, movie nights, and themed weekends. Promote activities through guest announcements, and printed schedules. Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity areas and event spaces. Monitor participation levels and gather guest feedback to continuously improve. Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with campground policies and procedures. Manage activity supplies, equipment Maintain a positive, energetic, and professional presence while interacting with guests and team members. Assist with other campground operations and guest service duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in recreation, event planning, hospitality, education, youth programming, or a related field preferred. Strong communication, and organizational skills. Ability to engage and entertain diverse groups, including children, families, and adults. Creative, enthusiastic, and customer-service oriented. Comfortable speaking to groups and leading activities. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules during peak camping season. Basic computer preferred. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
