Camp Kippewa is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Waterfront Counselors to join our team for the summer. We are hiring staff in the following waterfront areas: Water Skiing Swim Instruction Sailing Canoe/Kayak Waterfront Counselors play an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for campers while helping them build confidence and skills on the water. Staff members will supervise activities, teach campers of varying experience levels, and contribute to the overall camp community. About Us Camp Kippewa is a dynamic all-girls overnight camp located in the scenic lakes region of Monmouth, Maine. Our camp offers a traditional camp experience for girls ages 7-15, featuring personalized activity scheduling, a supportive atmosphere, strong instruction, and an enthusiastic camp community. Staff join us from June 4th - August 11th. Responsibilities Supervise campers during waterfront activities and instructional periods Teach and assist campers in one or more waterfront activity areas Enforce waterfront safety rules and procedures Support campers in developing confidence, skills, and teamwork Monitor activity areas and respond appropriately to safety concerns or emergencies Assist with setup, organization, and care of waterfront equipment and facilities Participate in camp activities, special events, and evening programming Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure the overall safety and wellbeing of campers Compensation Competitive salary Waterfront and/or lifeguard certification support opportunities Travel stipend Bonus upon completion of contract Room and board (housing provided in a cabin with campers and fellow staff members) How to Apply Interested candidates should apply through Indeed or visit Camp Kippewa to learn more. Warmth of personality, independence, quiet confidence, leadership, and a strong work ethic are essential. Experience working with children and/or waterfront activities is preferred.
