Days Seal Rock Healthcare, part of the Atlantic Heights Community, is a fully-licensed Medicaid/Medicare-certified facility offering 105 beds. Under the ownership of First Atlantic Healthcare, the Atlantic Heights Community follows in First Atlantic's long standing reputation for excellence in long term care, assisted living and senior living. Wages start at $15.45 and increase with experience! Are you a natural entertainer with a heart for seniors? We are seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our life enrichment team. In this role, you won't just be "planning events"-you'll be creating moments of joy, maintaining the dignity of our residents, and ensuring that our facility feels like a vibrant community. As an Activities Assistant you will: +
Lead & Implement:
Execute a daily schedule of activities including music, arts and crafts, exercise classes, games, and religious services. +
One-on-One Engagement:
Provide meaningful bedside visits for residents who may be unable to attend group functions. +
Innovation:
Contribute new ideas for monthly calendars that cater to diverse cognitive and physical abilities (including memory care). +
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress as required by state and federal regulations. +
Safety First:
Assist in the safe transport of residents to and from activity areas. What We're Looking For + The "Vibe": A "people person" who is patient, upbeat, and empathetic toward the elderly and those with dementia. +
Communication:
Ability to speak clearly and engage with residents, families, and staff professionally. +
Reliability:
Long-term care requires consistency; our residents thrive on seeing familiar faces. +
Experience:
Prior experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or memory care setting is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right personality!
