Activities Aide Riverview Health & Rehab Center - North Detroit, MI Job Details 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Activities Aide Job Description Overview As an Activities Aide, you will join other creative individuals in the coordination of life enrichment programs on a day to day basis for our residents.
Responsibilities:
Assists in maintaining balanced resident-centered activities and life enrichment programs under supervision of the Activities Director Complete appropriate records indicating resident's attendance and participation in individual and group activities in a timely basis. Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the QA (Quality Assurance) process and essential quality service standards Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year job related experience preferred in senior living communities Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and fellow team members for their involvement in the events and various scheduled activities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, and other physical demands may be required. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
