Exempt, min 40 hours per week | Monday

Jackson, MI What You'll Do:
Lead and inspire a dynamic Recreational Therapy team dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults. In this role, you will oversee the Recreational Therapy department, provide guidance and support to team members, and design meaningful therapeutic and recreational programs that promote engagement, independence, and overall well-being for PACE participants.   • $64,122 / year Reporting To April Kral Key Responsibilities Develops specific therapeutic programs as part of the plan of care, including recreational and social activities.
Organizes Recreational Therapy Services and develops department policies and procedures. Develops and maintains the Recreational Therapy department budget. Develops, implements, and supervises the Activity Program. Develops a monthly calendar of events. Supervises and manages personnel including training and orientation, competency assessments, scheduling, and direct supervision. Communicates participant condition changes to team members. Coordinates 24-hour care delivery. Conducts initial and scheduled reassessments of participants prior to team conferences. Records, signs, and dates progress reports in participants' medical records. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise BS degree in Recreation Therapy or BA from an accredited college with a recreation with special populations. Reliable transportation and valid drivers license. Minimum of one (1) year working with the frail and elderly. Minimum 2 years experience in social or recreational program providing and coordinating services for a frail elderly population. Prior leadership experience. CPR certification is desired or obtained within 3 months of employment. Job Benefits Generous 6 weeks of Flexible time off per year —plus paid holidays on top of that.
