Job Description Assist with all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance. Interacts with members and program participants to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness and wellness programs and services in accordance with the objectives and policies. Provides safe, motivating, and effective exercise instruction with excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate others. The duties outlined herein include assisting with the planning, administration, logistical preparation, marketing & promotions, instruction, and actual execution of the programs.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday, flexible hours between 12:00-6:00pm and Fridays 12:00-4:00pm, up to 30 hours per week. Essential Functions Teach and assist in the creation of group exercise classes (virtual/in-person) Conduct Fitness Assessments. Conduct Fitness Center & Equipment Orientations. Personal training. Provide wellness coaching. Provide nutritional counseling. Create fun and engaging programs to encourage healthy behaviors. Attend and assist with health fairs, table events, and screenings. Conduct assessments for employees. Update health and wellness, bulletin boards. Ensure equipment safety concerns are escalated accordingly. Equipment cleaning.

Remains cognizant of and adheres to Wings policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Qualifications Minimum Formal Qualifications for this
Position:
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related discipline. preferred 1+ years' combined experience in a fitness center or wellness coaching environment/role. preferred 6+ months group fitness instruction experience. preferred
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of lifestyle, diet, and the human body. Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA. Communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to build comprehensive reports and effectively convey information to others. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Maintains good public relations and keeps supervisors informed of customer and facility needs Advanced knowledge in techniques and dynamics of basic group fitness and specialty classes. Ability to identify and correct participant technique. Ability to offer exercise modifications. Ability to teach others how to do something. Ability to manage and adjust different forms of media utilized in the fitness center, including television and radio.
Certifications Required:
Current CPR/AED certification Upon Hire required Current First Aid certification Upon Hire required Nationally accredited Personal Training OR Group Fitness certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, NCSF, ACE, AFAA, NESTA, etc.) within 90 Days required Additional Information
PAY RANGE
$24-$28/hour plus 7% annual target bonus. (S12). Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
