Job Description
Working Hours Typically work days are Monday through Friday, 15 hours per week. We are hiring for 2 different positions, one 9AM - 12PM the other 5PM - 8PM. Hours may be adjusted occasionally to meet programming needs. The work schedule and hours may vary from week to week. Job Objective(s): Responsible to assist Activities Coordinator in planning and leading a variety of activity programs designed to meet the resident s social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs. Qualifications Creativity in developing and planning activity programs. Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities. Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident s best interest. Strong organizational skills Good work ethic Maintains confidentiality. Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English Environmant Works indoors in a climate-controlled environment majority of the time. Works outdoors in elements of seasonal weather for periods of time to conduct field trips. Job Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for assisting Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program. Assess resident s recreational and social needs. Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events. Lead small, large and one on one activity programs with seniors. Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc. Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned. Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming. Other duties as assigned.
