Eden Vista Edina is seeking a Part-time Activity Aide to enrich the lives of our residents.

Part-time Activity Aide Work Location:
In person We are seeking individuals who are devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Aide organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one to one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and value of approaches in the medical record.
Job functions will include:
Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and emotional needs of our residents Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day Help design programs to encourage socialization Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills Prepare and maintain reports on resident's progress Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation Ideal candidates will have: At least 1 year of Activity Aide or any relevant work experience Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving a community bus A passion for working with people Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal Problem-solving skills The ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situations Ability to work under stress while remaining caring and kind Ability to understand and work in a variety of situations in a positive and constructive manner Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines Ability to be imaginative, creative, and innovative musical/ arts & crafts experience preferred
